New Arrivals!

We’ve had lots of fun new merchandise arrive over the last couple of weeks! Here’s a sampling, along with some information about the vendors. If you like what you see, feel free to check out their websites. We are happy to place special orders for you at any time. Come visit our showroom soon and see all this in person! Thanks for looking! "The Red Barn" (60" x 60")

Bassett Mirror Company(http://www.bassettmirror.com/)

BMC is one of our favorite vendors for wall décor. They have an incredibly extensive collection of mirrors, paintings,
metal wall hangings, and decorative accessories. We particularly love their large scale oil-on-canvas pieces – they look incredible and add so much color and life to a space. Our customers have been thrilled with them! If you have a large wall that needs “something,” one of these paintings could be just the thing.

"The Flower Market" (60" x 60")

"Poppies" (18" x 70")

Vaughan Furniture (http://www.vaughanfurniture.com/)

Vaughan Furniture carries a gorgeous line of bedroom and dining room furnishings that is also well constructed and very reasonably priced. We feel they represent a great value for our customers. One of their best-selling groups is the urban casual “Simply Living” collection. With three bed options, two dining table possibilities, an entertainment center and furniture for youth, this collection has broad appeal. Its clean lines, satin nickel hardware and deep mahogany finish would look great in your home! (We are currently featuring the youth bedroom in our store, with the master bedroom to arrive in August. All pieces available for special order at any time.)

Brooks Furniture (http://www.brooksfurniture.com/)

Brooks has been one of our vendors for many years. We are proud to feature their glider rockers, with a great variety of sizes, styles, wood finishes and fabrics available. These chairs are so relaxing, you’ll enjoy one for years to come. They’re perfect for reading and TV viewing, and also great for new moms! For extra comfort, add a glider ottoman in a coordinating fabric.

Brooks also has some lovely dining room furnishings, as well as a newer line of leather recliners.

Carolina Furniture Works (http://www.carolinafurnitureworks.com/)

Carolina is another long-time vendor for us. They manufacture smaller scale bedroom furniture in a variety of styles and finishes. Their classic styling makes them ideal for any age, from youth to adult. Carolina pieces are well-built and very reasonably priced. They also feature “Nevamar,” a protective finish, on all the top surfaces of their dressers, chests, nightstands and desks.

Tracy’s has sold Carolina’s “Common Sense” and “Cottage White” collections for years, and we have just recently added the “Midnight” collection to our showroom as well. We love its black crisply painted finish. This is such a versatile look – depending on accessories, it can appear formal or casual, masculine or feminine, contemporary or cottage. This furniture will be readily adaptable to your family’s changing needs.

Thanks for looking! Again, this is just a small sampling of what we have to offer. Please visit our store soon and let us help you create your ideal home.

Welcome!

Everyone wants the “latest thing,” right? Whether its fashion, technology, information, etc., we enjoy having the newest, the most up-to-date. When we’ve found something really good, we want to tell people about it.

That is why this blog, "The Latest Thing," has been created. It allows us at Tracy’s Home Furnishings to keep you informed about the “latest things” happening at our store. Whenever we’re having a great sale, hosting an event in-store, or introducing new merchandise, we’ll post the information here to let you know about it right away.

We love being located in Downtown Shelbyville, so we’ll also try to let you know about events like concerts and art shows happening in the neighborhood. Downtown Shelbyville is a great place to spend an hour, an afternoon, or even a whole day. Come down and visit soon. We want to get to know our customers and community, so we welcome your comments and questions. If you haven’t been by the store for awhile, stop in and say hello! We miss you!

Its been a very busy week at Tracy’s - new merchandise keeps showing up at our warehouse, so we will post again soon with some photos and “new item sale” prices! We also filmed a new TV commercial last week. Look for it to begin airing in Shelby and Henry County later this month! It will also be available for viewing via our website as soon as it becomes available.

In addition, we are getting our display ready for this Saturday’s (5/16/09) 2nd Annual Home Expo, sponsored by Citizens Union Bank and The Sentinel News. The Expo will be held at Floral Hall, Shelby County Fairgrounds, from 10 am to 3 pm. This event is completely free, so come out on Saturday and get some great ideas for your home!

Finally we’d like to thank our awesome web designer, Jeff Sopland, for designing our fabulous site and setting up this blog for us. You can see more of Jeff’s work at www.tylanadvertising.com. Call him for any of your web design or marketing needs!
